Cilacap


Cilacap is a city with beatiful beach and sea in Central Java, Indonesia. The old city is located at a cape, Teluk Penyu beach at the eastern part, Nusa Kambangan strait at south and Segara Anakan sea at the west side. The city has population more and less 500,000 peoples who has many economic activities such as fishery, plantation etc. There are many points of interest in the area i.e Teluk Penyu black sandy beach, sinking fortress, hilly Nusa Kambangan Island with white sandy beach and caves, traditional fish market, kampung laut ( village on sea ) and beautiful mangrove forest.

Cilacap is close to Pangandaran beach, West java region. Visitor can link the trip to Pangandaran beach by boat or ferry. Ferryboat departs daily from Lomanis pier to Karang Pucung village. The boat cruises along Segara Anakan sea, mangrove forest and Citandui River. Karang Pucung village is near by Pangandaran Beach.

How to reach Cilacap ?
From Jakarta the capital of Indonesia visitor can take a regular flight at Halim Perdakusumah airport Jakarta to Cilacap Tunggul Wulung Airport or enjoy train from Gambir railway station. From Yogyakarta visitor is recommended to use train, public bus or rental minicab from tour service. Cilacap is about 400 km from Jakarta and 200 km from Yogyakarta.
